why I do what I do.

HOW VINTAGE WAS CREATED

My experience with wood began early. When I was 14 years old, I joined the team at Lapp Structures building storage sheds. Here I soon learned to build, run a nailer, and to paint.​

At 19 years old, I plunged deep into the carpentry world with King's Builders. We built custom homes, installing everything from roofing, siding, trim, doors, and kitchens. During my 20 years with King's Builders I once had the opportunity to climb a church steeple. 

In February of 2020 I joined Prestige Painting. In the process of painting houses, barns, and kitchens I mastered the art of painting and refinishing. This included knowing which paints and which brands worked best for specific types of wood.

The dawn of Vintage. I have always wanted to work from home. Knowing this my boss encouraged me to dive deeper into refinishing. Thus, in June of 2021, Vintage Painting and Refinishing came into being. Two companies began sending me their overflow clients and since then it has only gained momentum. I have never looked back.
